AFCON 2012 Zambia (Chipolopolo) Winners Champions
The AFCON 2012 finally comes to an end with Zambia emerging as the Champions of African Football on the Continent.
The young energetic party boppers have made history as it is their first Win of the African Cup of Nations Trophy. No one expected them to gun down the mighty elephants of Ivory Coast because Ivory Cost was considered as one of the favourite teams to win the AFCON 2012. Everybody had written off Zambia, they said the star studded team of Ivory Coast would be too much for little known Zambia. But they defied the odds and beat the Elephants of Ivory coast 8-7 on penalties. Zambia dominated parts of the match and did not allow the so called “star players” to shine.
Both teams displayed great sportsmanship, but unfortunately there can only be one winner and that was Zambia. The kings of African football dedicated the cup to fallen heroes of the 1993 Zambia national football team which crushed in Gabonalmost 20 years ago.

Coming to the music part we played some love songs for the lovers since this is a month of love. We had the likes of Liquideep with their debut song Fairytale which put them on the market of South African house music. Fairytale comes from their first Album Fabrics of the heart which was released in 2010. There was also some nice r’n’b all the way from Angola from Paul G with his smooth voice on his track Freaking me out.
