Born into the family of a signifiant Czech mathematician, prof. Jindřich Nečas. She studied composition and piano at the Prague Conservatory in Prague, and composition at the Music Faculty of the Academy of the Performing Arts in Prague under Jindřich Feld, Jaromír Kříž and Václav Riedelbauch.
Twice she took part in international composition courses led by Ladislav Kubík. In 1996 she started an on-going cooperation with the American conductor and composer Joel Blahnik and Ms Anita Smisek, the general director of the Alliance publications inc. music publishing house in the USA, in whose international catalogue Nečasová Nardelli appears, and which also published part of her chamber, choral and symphonic output.
Jindra Nečasová Nardelli also participated in several composition contests, which earned her, among others, the Czech Music Fund Award for her Little Symphony in a competition announced by the Czech Ministry of Culture (1989); or a certificate of merit in Generace 1987 competition for her Variations for flute and piano (Ostrava 1987).
The composition entitled the Spirit of Lake Michigan for wind symphonic orchestra composed for the occasion of the „All Czech Composers Concert“ at the Boutell Memorial Concert Hall for the Northern Illinois University and in cooperation with the Consulate General of the Czech Republic in Chicago was also performed at the Prague Premieres 2009 festival at the Rudolfinum – Dvořák Hall. The American trumpetist Peter Wood´s CD Commanding Statements – part of the MSM Classics edition – featuring numbers of international composers (Bradshaw, Argersinger, Basler, Park, Nardelli-Nečasová, Durant, Érod) sells succesfully all around the world.
Jindra Nečasová Nardelli is the author of numerous chamber, symphonic, vocal and solo compositions, as well as ballets.
