Jakub Dvořáček is a composer and a pianist, a founding member and a composer of a jazz formation Noční optika / Night Sight, a member of Czech Philharmonic Jazz Band.
He devotes himself to classical music as well (a symphonic composition Hudba zašantročená do samomluvy / Music lost in soliloquy – a homage to V. Holan, Passion cantata Slova (Words), a melodrama Kat / The Hangman based on lyrics by F. Dürrenmatt, Idiot / The Idiot, a piano trio by Dostoyevsky) and scenic music (Píseň písní / The song of songs) in Minor theatre, V melounovém cukru / In Watermelon Sugar for Nablízko theatre).
He studied composition under Karel Růžička and Ivana Loudová. Recently he works as a répétiteur and a teacher at Jaroslav Ježek conservatory and cooperates with Kühn Choir of Prague.
