iROZHLAS.cz achieved the second best result in its history. The news web registered more than 2.7 million real (unique) users in July
July 2021 became the second most successful month in the history of Czech Radio news web – iROZHLAS.cz. During the summer month, iROZHLAS.cz registered 2,773,103 real (unique) users, a 60% year-on-year increase in readership.
iROZHLAS.cz thus became the leader in its 'weight' category: it surpassed, for example, the news web of Czech Television (ČT24) or Lidovky.cz. Readers were particularly interested in the news service regarding Tokyo Olympics 2021, information on the upcoming general elections in the Czech Republic and the election calculator. What has not changed in the long term are the devices that readers use to view individual articles. Mobile phones account for the largest number of visits (72%), while computers make up 25% and tablets are used in remaining cases (3%).
"We were significantly helped by Seznam.cz, on whose main page our articles appeared. However, direct accesses and visits from the Google.cz search engine are also growing steadily. Therefore, I believe that we will now stay above the two million mark," says Radek Kedroň, editor-in-chief of iROZHLAS.cz. "Two million readers is such a large audience that we didn't even dare to dream about when we started iROZHLAS in April 2017. Our goal was 'just' a million," added Kedroň.
