Czech Radio prepares a special broadcast of the presidential elections in the United States of America
Czech Radio will follow the US election in real time. The all-night special will be broadcast live by Radiožurnál, Czech Radio Plus and the news server iROZHLAS.cz from 23:00 on 5 November to 10:00 on 6 November from Studio S1 and a special studio in Washington D.C.
The American Night special broadcast will provide detailed coverage and guide the Czech society through the election of the US President for the second time. You can listen to news and journalistic inputs that will cover this high-profile event from all possible angles.
"We choose again to broadcast live from Prague and from the USA simultaneously, because this way we can provide our listeners with an authentic experience of an important milestone in world politics. Its results will undoubtedly influence further developments not only in the United States, but in the whole world," said Ondřej Suchan, Director of News and Currents Affairs at Czech Radio.
The live broadcast will start after the voting ends, i.e. on November 5 at 23:00, from the studio in the capital of the United States as well as from the Vinohrady studio S1. In Prague, Czech Radio will broadcast all night long in front of a live audience, who will be able to watch this eleven-hour broadcast marathon full of interviews with experts in American politics and society, live inputs from our reporters from the United States and analysis of the results in a multimedia space.
Jan Pokorný, Daniela Vrbová, Tomáš Pancíř and Vojtěch Bidrman will host from Prague, and Jan Bumba from the studio in Washington, D.C. The news team in the USA consists of Pavel Novák, Jana Karasová and Jan Kaliba. The all-night special will also be available to watch live on the online stream.
